Customize an environment

Knime provides all runtimes as container images, so you can't build or upload your own executor image. This section describes the options you have to customize your environments for Python, extensions, and Kerberos:

• Set up a Python environment: Provide the Python packages your workflows need, either for each run or as a permanent environment on a sovereign executor.
• Use custom extensions: Run workflows that need extensions beyond the default environment.
• Configure Kerberos: Let workflows authenticate against Kerberos-secured services, such as Apache Hive or HDFS. Available on sovereign executors only.
